Success is a science; if you have the conditions, you get the result.
The wisest of words from the wit of Oscar Wilde, and certainly a philosophy we live by here at Outbound Solutions. We nurture an environment and create the conditions to guarantee success, and as our clients will tell you, we do indeed get results. We’ve been working hard this summer to really ensure that our business is the best that it can be. We’ve made a few changes, hired some fresh faces, and welcomed a number of new clients aboard. But it hasn’t been all work and no fun, so read on to find out more…
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – the summer months can be a pain in the posterior for trying to start new business relationships or implement new products and services. They can be, but they don’t have to be. Perseverance and good organisation can make for a particularly lucrative season, and our business development team have secured some incredible opportunities for our clients with the likes of Blackberry, Rolls Royce, Scottish Power, Sky, EE, and Virgin Media.
After all that great work we decided the team deserved a well-earned treat, so Outbound Solutions went nautical!
… Well… perhaps not quite nautical…
In the end we decided that sailing the seven seas may be a bit much for an office day out, so instead we hired a canal boat. The weather smiled on us and we spent several lazy hours cruising along London canals in the warm sun, relaxing, and shooting the breeze. It was a great bonding experience and a wonderful way to celebrate a successful summer.
Looking ahead we’re gearing up for one of our busiest times of year, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. September is a great month for new business, people are feeling positive and refreshed from summer holidays and excited to start implementing new ways of working ready for the new year. It’s a time to start looking ahead to the future and making those big decisions about how to make sure your company is achieving its full potential.
At Outbound Solutions we pride ourselves on having the ability to have intelligent conversations with prospects on behalf of our clients just as well as we could if we were sitting in their office. To do this we take the time to research and learn about the industries we work in. Recently we’ve undergone a large internal, ongoing training project to hone our expertise in specific areas of financial services. We want to make sure that we’re always up to speed with any changes in the industry and that we’re constantly refining our skills so that we’re able to competently talk about very particular sections in great detail that’s representative of our clients.
We’d like to extend a warm welcome to our two newest recruits, Grant and Ryan.
Grant has joined the team from a background working on senior level conferences and exhibitions across Europe which focussed on bringing together key decision makers who were looking to invest in new products and technologies to improve their business. Grant has a history in performing arts and applies his performance skills to the world of sales making him a hardworking, intuitive, and charming sales professional.
Ryan has 11 years sales experience working in the energy industry, trade association and card payments sector. He’s a keen guitarist/singer and an avid traveller. Ryan has visited most continents throughout the years and spent 3 months last year travelling all over India. He’s at his happiest when enjoying outdoor pursuits such as climbing, walking and kayaking. He’s a trained kayak coach so if you’re looking to take up a new hobby you know who to call.
So that’s a wrap for this OSL blogpost. From the whole team here at Outbound Solutions we wish you a happy and prosperous September. We’ll be back in Q4 to update you on our progress, share some sales insights, and start discussing Christmas (yep, it’s nearly that time already!).
